Gift Guide: Tricky Teens and a GIVEAWAY

Header Collage

There’s something about shopping for a teenager.  It’s fun, exciting, and dicey.  Very, very dicey.  But there are so many choices!  But, will they really like anything?  Are their hormones on a high note or a low note?  Is 1D still cool?  Is cool still cool?  I know fetch is, like, totally not fetch.  Wait, am I still cool?  It’s a real gamble, isn’t it?

In addition to the totally awesome ideas below may I suggest some services?  I was pretty lucky that I did not have the *worst acne ever!  OMG* when I was a and teen, but I did suffer from the typical speckling of completely uncool red dots.  If your teen also has this issue I would start by taking them to a professional for an acne facial.  The point of this is less for them to get a miracle treatment and more about teaching them how to treat their skin and to make them feel pampered.  I fully recommend an esthetician in most dermatologist offices for this because, in case the small problem is larger than you realize or in case it does turn into something bigger, you have a Dermatologist on site to help recommend any prescriptions needed.  Locally, I ♥ Dr. Boudreaux’s Office.

The other biggie I’m totally an advocate for is teaching tweens (espesh) and teens how to properly and appropriately apply make-up.  Set-up an appointment with a make-up artist to get them started with the right how-tos.  Locally, I ♥ Jenn Marie Make-up Artistry.  Or try a make-up counter, I would start at Clinique.
